Jakovs First Kart!First try at Sandown!

Following on from Mercedesworld Jakov had a crack at karting as well! There is nothing like an arrive and drive at Sandown....

This was Jakovs first try in a single seater, taking part in a Junior 25 minute session with seven other drivers on the track.

After a tentative first couple of laps he soon found his feet on the track, despite battling with a new circuit and lots of rules and flags to contend with.

In the end he came second in the session, just a few hundredths of a second off taking the honours!

On a dry track in his 31 laps his best lap of 37.843 was not without credit. This also equated to a best average speed of 26.8 mph, this may not sound like much, but things are far faster on the kart track!
