autosolo!a new challenge for
the team
This was a new experience!
The team decided to take their respective Porsche's and have a crack at
the FDMC's March autosolo.
Although members of the Farnborough and
District Motor Club for some
time this was the teams first outing at one of their events, a clubman
autosolo held at the Martinique Barracks parade square in Bordon.
Signing in and scrutineering posed few
problems for Lady Persephone,
the multi-coloured Boxter racing with the sports cars and the venerable
944 in amongst the over 1800cc saloon class.
It was a bit of a mixed day!
Although enjoying herself thoroughly Suzana
suffered a puncture
after two runs and was forced to retire Lady Persphone. A Great Pity.
Adrian
raced the whole day, completing all twelve runs. Although finishing way
down the field he improved his lap times from 97 seconds to 82 over the
course of the day as his confidence grew, a creditable effort although
still far off the pace.
Overall it was a fun day out and the team
intends totery their hand at this format again as soon as they can.
