A National Race!and rather outclassed!

Deciding to risk it all Adrian entered the second round of the  national level DMAX Heavy Enduro Championships at Daytona Sandown Park, to be held on the GP Circuit.

It is fair to say that this was a substantial step up in standard, and may in hindsight have been somewhat ambitious!

With rain having fallen overnight, and the track greasy to say the least, Adrian hoped that the conditions would be a leveller. This did not turn out to be the case! In a brand new kart he tried his best, spinning more in the qualifying session that he had done to date in his karting career!

Although conditions did marginally improve as the track began to dry Adrian did his best, managing a 58.675 for jis best lap. This, it has to be said was nowhere near the pace. At the end of the hour long race he finished in 22nd place. This had tim 23rd in the championship table at this stage of the season.

Although dissapointing from a result perspective it was a great learning experience. More prectice and race time are now needed before Adrian tries his hand at this level again!.
